My Beautiful Nigeria

By

It’s been a journey for you my Nigeria, oh! an endless journey it’s been. You lived yet not recognized till you got adopted by your foster parent whom named you.

You strived for your independence beautiful one, you did not want your foster parent to dictate your life. You felt you were old enough to live your life, but you were crumbling after a short while of your independence.

You allowed politics to play you, a real blow it dealt you. You  have got a terrible orientation only God knows where you got that, oh! you are human, i forgot.

oh! my beautiful Nigeria, you gave men free access into you, you gave them the chance to suck your breasts to the state of it’s fall, dangling like it has lost it’s life, it’s youth, it’s savour, it’s gracefulness.

You are aging terribly, not a bit close to grace. You were once beautiful, but you allowed a lot to happen to you. You have no mind of your own. You are gradually loosing your pride in Africa.

Despite all these, Men are queuing, saying they want to resuscitate you, you give them the chance to take turns to suck your already fallen breasts. How wicked of them!

You keep telling yourself i have got no choice, i need a man and i hope to find the right one. I understand you Nigeria, but i think it’s time for you to voice out. oh! my beautiful Nigeria, i believe in you, i hope your children would help resuscitate you back to life, i hope you find the right man in your present state. Despite the obvious ugliness, i see a profound beauty in you. i hope you get there beautiful one, i hope your children have the right orientation and ability to help you become a better person, i hope you find a man who would love you for who you are and his love for you would make you even a better beauty to behold. I believe in you….
